R56 Carbon Cleaning

If you own a 2007–2012 R56 MINI Cooper S with the N14 engine, periodic cleaning of the intake valves is essential. Because of the direct fuel injection design, carbon naturally builds up on the intake valves over time. Common symptoms include rough running when the engine is started cold, which usually improves after a minute or two. Performance gradually decreases, often so slowly that you may not notice the loss of power until it’s restored.
Here’s an example of intake valves before cleaning on a MINI Cooper with only 55,000 miles showing severe carbon buildup.
Our specialized process removes the build up without taking off the cylinder head, restoring performance, efficiency, and smooth operation.

Here are the same intake valves after a professional walnut shell blasting. This process removes carbon buildup safely and effectively. As a result, cold starts are smooth, throttle response is sharper, and overall performance has been fully restored.
